Harvesters prep for Thursday game

It was a chilly morning in New York. The team started the morning with a walk to breakfast.

Former Eastfield basketball coach Bob Flickner has joined the team this morning. Flickner will be recognized for being selected to be inducted into the National Junior College Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

The Harvesters boarded the bus to head to Suny Sullivan for their last practice before tomorrow’s game.

All signs of jet lag from yesterday’s flight seem to be gone.

Practice started with shooting drills, then the team scrimmaged for about half an hour. Practice finished with the team shooting free throws.

After practice the team has a couple hours to rest before they go to the NJCAA Elite Eight banquet.

The team’s first round game is tomorrow at 4 p.m. against Nassau. You can watch it live for free njcaatv.com.

I will also be live tweeting the game @theetcetera.
